READERS are reminded that time is running to get their nominations in for this year’s Gainsborough Business Awards.

Organised by Langley’s Solicitors, the awards have become the perfect opportunity to celebrate local entrepreneurial talent.

But this year’s awards are set to be bigger and better than ever, featuring a special appearance from Stuart Bagg’s - star of last year’s The Apprentice on BBC1.

Kelly Taylor from Langleys urges businesses to put themselves forward for an award.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to raise your business profile in the local area and celebrate your business successes,” she said.

“Categories taking applications via the website include Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, Business person of the Year, Best New Business, Best Use of Innovation/Technology and Outstanding Contribution to the Community.”

She added: “There is plenty of scope to celebrate the wealth and variety of business talent that Gainsborough has to offer.”

Hannah Young from the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce said: “It is always very heartening when good business practice and achievement is recognised, and the Gainsborough Business Awards are a fantastic opportunity for businesses within this market town to highlight and support their successes as well as acknowledge the vast wealth of entrepreneurial talent that Gainsborough offers.”

She added: “The Lincolnshire Chamber, Gainsborough Area, has an active business community here and we encourage our members to enter the Gainsborough Business Awards as they are a fantastic way to celebrate local achievements as well as providing an additional promotional tool for all those involved.”

The Gainsborough Business Awards 2011 will be a black tie dinner at the White Heather at Caenby Corner, near Gainsborough. The event will take place on Thursday 15th September at 7pm.
