A DINNINGTON salon has raised more than £500 for a poorly Maltby schoolgirl.

Staff at Just Hair and Beauty, on Laughton Road, had a raffle to win a pair of GHD straighteners to raise money for Niamh Power.

Justine Bulmer, from the salon, said: “A client of ours is friends with Niamh’s mum. She was saying that were trying to do alot of fundraising for her and we felt touched by her story. We wanted to do all we could to help.”

“We had the raffle over a two month period. We were selling tickets in the salon and also in other business on Dinnington’s main street.”

The winner of the straighteners was Heather Suttie.
