Popular pub to re-open
NEWS: The Gainsborough Standard
One of Gainsborough’s popular pubs, the Canute on Silver Street, will re-open this week after it was closed to make way for an investment of £90,000.
The Canute will reopen to the public from 8pm on Thursday 8th November. The investment has seen the creation of five new local jobs in the bar and kitchen.
Canute manager Neil Boardman said: “The refurbishment will see greater prominence of cask ale and we continue to support local and regional breweries. We’ll also be offering a great new cocktail menu and the decor of the Canute now has a modern yet stylish colour scheme.”
To celebrate the opening the Canute, local band The Torn will play on Friday 9th November from 8.30pm.
