Green-fingered residents are in for a treat as a new garden centre is set for a special opening next week in Glentham, near Gainsborough.

The Willows at Glentham is a purpose built new garden centre with a cafe and delicatessen, which aims to ‘offer a little something for everyone’.

The new development has created six permanent jobs and 34 part time jobs in the area and looks set to be a great boost for Lincolnshire tourism.

Owner David Nelstrop said: “We want to offer tasty food featuring locally sourced ingredients wherever possible The same ethos is embraced in the delicatessen where visitors can choose from lots of great Lincolnshire favourites like Lincolnshire Poacher and Cote Hill Cheese, Pipers Crisps, Tom Wood Ales, along with Lincolnshire sausages brought in especially from the Boston Sausage Co and local free range eggs.” A spokesman continued: “There are also independent boutiques where visitors can find Joules clothing stocked by Springs of Market Rasen, Catkins who offer a beautiful range of ladies fashion accessories and a pet centre offering a wide range of pet foods and accessories for dogs, small animals, poultry and fish. here will also be a selection of beautiful homewares available including cushions by Hannah Williamson, china by Sophie Allport and luxury toiletries by Made in Heaven.”

The Grand Opening of The Willows takes place on Saturday 23rd March. The first 250 visitors will receive a free potted Narcissus, there will be facepainting in aid of the charity LIVES and a very appearance from Peppa Pig.
