Bid farewell to StereoEpic

ONE of Gainsborough’s most popular bands have announced that they will play their final gig ever this weekend.

Stereoepic have built up a strong and loyal fan base in the Gainsborough area and beyond over the last four years - famed for pulling off great sets at local events like the Fake Festival, Riverside Festival and at the Town Centre Christmas Lights switch on event.

Now, the band have decided to call it a day - and will mark their split with a special album launch show.

A band spokesman said: “StereoEpic say goodbye to all those who helped us along the way.”

“If you ever bought a shirt, badge, gave us a hug or a bottle of water or just came and sang along - we thank you!”

He continued: “This show is for you guys. If it wasn’t for you all, we wouldn’t have had the best four years of our lives. So while we plan all this, please please spread the word. Playing to a packed venue for the last time is the only way to go out!”

Not only are they local favourites, but last year Stereoepic also celebrated after signing to US record label AllAboutRecords.

- Stereoepic play their final ever gig at The Blues Club on North Street in Gainsborough on f Friday 1st February at 7.30pm. Tickets are £3 on the door. Support comes from Lizzie Goddard, Red Light Return, District Motion and Grace Cooper-Hall
