Bassetlaw Hospital has recently been presented with some new equipment by the League of Friends.

The society handed over a new wheelchair to staff at the fracture clinic which will be of valubale use to patients young and old in the future.

Younger patients were also the focus for the second presentation at the hospital, as new play equipment for the A&E department was handed over by members of group, who were joined by staff and members of the Walters family, whose recent loss enabled the purchase of the equipment.

The League of Friends is a fund-raising group that raises money for amenities and comforts for patients and visitors at Bassetlaw Hospital.

Since they started their work over 50 years ago, the League of Friends has raised over £250,000 for many pieces of equipment and items specifically for the additional comfort of patients and those who visit Bassetlaw Hospital.
