A CHAMPION of motorsport is gearing up for another season of success - and you could be part of it.

Rob Boston has gained the respect of the racing community as well as taking home several championship trophies in recent years.

The 30-year-old, from Acacia Avenue in Gainsborough, first got into racing at the age of 11 when his father built him a cart.

He started professionally racing cars in 2011, and since then he’s won the Renault Clio Cup, the Mazda MX-5 Championship and the Lotus Cup.

Not only that, but Rob was also voted Autosport Driver of the Year in 2013. “I’ve been passionate about driving for as long as I can remember,” said Rob. “I’ve had three dominant seasons and these last few years have just been so exciting and incredible.”

“It may sound cliché, but I really am living the dream.”

Rob’s next challenge is the Ginetta GT Supercup - which supports the British Touring Car Championship and whose spectator figures are second only to Formula One in motorsport.

“I’m always moving on to the next step and each win just drives me to go further and further,” he said.

“Now we’re just looking for local sponsors. I’m being sponsored by Tesco’s KX Energy Drink but we still need further backing.”

He continued: “There are so many great opportunities off the back of this. Tesco are putting a huge marketing team behind us and local sponsors would get massive exposure on prime time Sunday ITV 4 - a total of 128 hours of television this year.”

“As well as the excitement of being involved, there are also 400,000 spectators, you get your branding on the car and you get hospitality services at the race weekends.”
