THE new year beckons a new start for Scottish singer/songwriter Amy MacDonald as she restarts her tour after a bout of ill health.

The past year saw her touring the world and releasing new album Life in a Beautiful Light. And her 2013 live dates bring her to Sheffield City Hall on Saturday 9th March.

Amy was taken ill earlier this month whilst on tour and had to cancel some of her European dates.

But she has now recovered and is coming back fighting with a string of un-missable performances

Her management said: “We are delighted to announce that doctors have given Amy the thumbs up and permission to be back at work.”

“Tests continue into Amy’s health, however early prognosis is very good. She remains in great spirits and thanks all of her fans for their wonderful support.”
