Newlyweds Gary and Laura Medlam believe the key to their unforgetable wedding was the unforgetable date.
And there is little chance of the couple forgeting their wedding anniversary after the pair tied the knot at 12.12pm on 12/12/12.
Mr and Mrs Medlam, of Clowne, have also been together for 12 years - and after a ten year engagement wanted a once-in-a-lifetime wedding, on a date to remember.
Just to make their big day even more remarkable the couple had 12 bridesmaids, 12 groomsmen and even 12 cakes.
Their wedding also had a ‘12 days of Christmas’ theme.
Hairdresser Laura, 29, said: “We’ve been together 12 years this year and just felt the time was right for us.”
“Everyone thought it was a lovely idea and as we’ve been together so long friends and family said it was about time.”
The pair enjoyed a service at St John the Baptist Church, across the road from their home, followed by a reception at Hotel Van Dyk.
