GAINSBOROUGH police are appealing for witnesses to a distraction burglary in which thieves made off with a car, keys and an iPod.
The burglary, which took place in the Plumb Centre on Thornton Street last Friday, took place after the sales assistant was distracted by two men.
One of the men then lifted the counter hatch and entered the rear of the warehouse.
Several keys and an ‘iPod Classic’ music player were taken, as well as a black Vauxhall Vectra, registration number BP08 DXT.
Anyone who may have seen the Vectra during or after Friday afternoon, or has any information on the raids should contact police on 01522 532222.
