'UNCONTROLLABLE losses' has forced a Gainsborough children's activity centre and bowling alley to close this week.
David Mann, owner of JJ’s Playmania and Bowlmania, has had to close the two businesses because people were not using the facilities.

“We have been losing money for a while, but it’s got worse recently, and we had no other option but to close down,” said Mr Mann.

“I would like to thank all our customers for their support, and can confirm all party payments will be fully refunded.”

The two units, based on Middlefield Lane, were opened four years ago. JJ’s Playmania was an indoor play area for children, complete with an adventure play area with climbing frames.

Bowlmania offered parents a place to spend time with their children whilst bowling.

“People were just not using it enough for it to stay open. We were seeing uncontrollable losses,” said Mr Mann.

Those who have paid a deposit to book either venue for future parties will be fully refunded. Call 01427 677974 or e-mail info@playmania.co.uk for more information.
