Major gas leak forces road closures

POLICE have re-opened roads after a major gas leak in the Spital Hill area of Gainsborough this morning (Friday).
A resident on Ropery Road alerted officers to the scene around 10am after hearing a "loud hissing" noise near the Peacock pub on Spital Hill.

Police and fire crews attended the scene, while roads in the area were closed and cordons put in place.

Some residents were evacuated but no-one was hurt in the incident.

The roads were re-opened at 1pm.
