1940s show
Gainsborough news
THE GOLDEN sounds of yesteryear are set to return with a 1940s spectacular heading to the region.
A Salute To The 1940s has been billed as ‘the ultimate variety show’ - paying tribute the artists who kept nations entertained on both sides of the Atlantic during wartime.
The show features tributes to everyone from George Formby, The Andrews Sisters, Al Jolson, Gracie Fields and Max Miller.
Everything is kept in check by Warden Braithwaite - your very own air raid warden.
Not only that, but the show also features acclaimed Vera Lynne tribute Lorrie Brown - who has entertained tens of thousands of music fans around the UK over the last 15 years.
A Salute To The 1940s will be at The Majestic Theatre in Retford on 9th March at 2.30pm. Tickets are £10-11. To book call 01777 706866 or visit www.majesticretford.com
