Former Dr Hook lead singer Dennis Locorriere is heading to Lincoln Theatre Royal this month as part of his Alone Again 2011 tour.

We have teamed up with the theatre to offer two lucky readers a pair of tickets each to see Dennis live in concert on Thursday 22nd September.

Dennis has a voice which is immediately recognised all over the world but his own story is now so much more than Dr Hook.

His contemporary achievements now feature three brand-new releases, including a book of his poetry and cartoons Whatever’s Burning Now and his third solo CD Post Cool.

He has also released two live concert DVD, a three-disc box set and special CD/DVD release, which have all been boosted with major appearances at Glastonbury, Cropredy and several major international tours.

Dr Hook was really only the early part of Dennis Locorriere’s story. He starred alongside Dustin Hoffman in a major movie and also appeared at New York City’s Lincoln Centre in a universally-acclaimed one-man play The Devil and Billy Markham, written by Shel Silverstein especially for him.

He has also written songs which have been recorded by a wide variety of artists, including Jerry Lee Lewis, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, BJ Thomas and Olivia Newton-John.

He has also starred as part of the all-start line up for the Dear Mr Fantasy concert at the Roundhouse in London in 2007.

More recently, music magazined MOJO asked Dennis to be involved in their re-recording of The Beatles’ classic album Let It Be, which featured on their cover in September 2010.

Tickets for the 7.30pm performance, which will feature an appearance from special guest star Emily Maguire, are priced £20 each, boxes £80.

They can be bought by visiting www.lincolntheatreroyal.com or by calling 01522 519999.
