Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity is hosting its first ever unique musical extravaganza Proms at Hodsock Priory - and you could be in the audience.
We have teamed up with the charity to offer one lucky reader a pair of tickets to the open-air concert on Sunday 8th September.
The event, which is tipped to be a sell-out, will play host to a spectacular line up of performers including international tenor John Hudson, and Sheffield-born international Soprano Deborah Norman.
Weston Park Hospital is one of only four specialist cancer hospitals in England and almost a quarter of all patients treated by the hospital come from the Doncaster and Bassetlaw area.
Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity needs to raise £1.5million this year to fund pioneering cancer research and to help improve the treatments and care for people living with cancer.
Tina Harrison, acting deputy charity director, said: “In this area we want to engage with local people and let them know that Weston Park Hospital is their local specialist cancer hospital,” she said.
“The concert will be a great, relaxing way to enjoy a long summer afternoon amongst family and friends, accompanied perfectly by a range of performances from spectacular artists.”
Tickets for the 3pm event cost £15 each (£13 concessions) and can be bought at www.hodsockpriory.com or in person from The Crossing, Newcastle Street, Worksop; Womacks, High Street, Bawtry and Anne Wilkinson’s, Grove Street, Retford.
To be in with the chance of winning, send your name, address and contact number to: firstname.lastname@example.org or 21-27 Ryton Street, Worksop, Notts S80 2AY.
The closing date for entries is Friday 24th May.
