30th August, 1912: GRAND ELECTRIC THEATRE

TONIGHT (Friday) and tomorrow there are two specials announced, one of them “Shanghaied”, a remarkable film showing a sea chase. It is a thriller.

“Into the Jungle” is a love story commenced upon civilised surroundings and finished in the African jungle where the villian of the piece is bitten by a rattlesnake, and a happy denouement is the result.

Other films include “The Spider’s Web”, a strong drama, “Out Of The Deep”, a drama full of interest, a fine specimen of the best kind of picture play, and Katchum Kate (comic), Charlie Smiler Catches A Tartar (comic), Reedham Figure Drills (educational), The Invisible Cyclist (comic) and The Red Ink Tragedy (comic).
