10th May, 1912: PRESENTATION OF LONG SERVICE MEDALS

A PLEASANT incident marked the ordinary routine of business at Messrs Marshall’s Trent Works, Gainsborough, on Tuesday afternoon when Mr H. E. Lambe to present employees with long service medals which had been awarded by a newspaper for a continuous service in one employment of upwards of 25 years.

Mr Lambe said he was very pleased to meet the recipients and to make these presentations.

The recipients of the medals were: Mr Wm. Marston, Mr S. Vickers, Mr R. Wilson, Mr J. T. Knight, Mr J. Duffield, Mr J. W. White, Mr G. P. Hurry, Mr Wm. Pitchfork, Mr R. W. Jackson, Mr J. S. Jackson, Mr G. White, Mr G. Selby, Mr Thos Bishop and Mr Thos Hankin.
