Kay Edgar presided and Jean Savage was the pianist at the meeting on Wednesday 12th November. Kay introduced the speaker for the afternoon Sue Smith who talked of her experiences of going on retreat. Over the past few weeks the ladies of Women’s Hour have been putting together Shoe boxes for the Samaritans purse appeal, they have been joined in this work by friends from the Chapel, St Peter’s Church and the village, in all 36 completed boxes were taken to the collection point in Scunthorpe. Mrs Chisnell will be the speaker on Wednesday 3rd December.
Took place on Saturday 15th November. The morning was a success with nearly £600 raised for chapel funds, thank you to all who helped in any way.
St Peter’s Bazaar takes place in the Church on Saturday 29th November from 10am-12noon. All the usual stalls and games with refreshments served throughout the morning. There will also be a visit from Father Christmas.
The December meeting takes place in the chapel schoolroom on Wednesday 3rd at 7.30pm.
Session: Saturday 13th December in the chapel schoolroom from 10am-2pm. This will take place at the same time as the regular coffee morning/book sale and food bank. This is the December fundraiser for the building fund, entrance is free but crafts will range in price from 50p to £3. Coffee available but bring a packed lunch if staying for the full session.
