Cyber criminals are constantly devising new types of malware to commit financial theft, fraud, identity theft, and other crimes. The latest threat, identified by the National Crime Agency (NCA) uses two types of malware to infect computers in order to commit these crimes. Current threats are a virus known as Gameover Zeus, GOZeus, or P2Pzeus, and the CryptoLocker (also known as ransomware) virus. Free tools to combat these viruses are available on the www.getsafeonline.org website at no charge. For more information, go to the news release on the National Crime Agency website: http://www.nationalcrimeagency.gov.uk
