Last year the National Garden’s Scheme (NGS) raised £48,000 for nursing and caring charities from the gardens which were open in Lincolnshire. The new season will start again in February. Gardens open to the public under the National Gardens Scheme (NGS) are some of the top spots to see snowdrops, hellebores and other early flowering plants.
Visitors to NGS gardens will also have the satisfaction of knowing that their entrance fee is supporting valuable causes, as about 80p in every £1 collected at the garden gate goes straight to the NGS beneficiary charities, which include Macmillan Cancer Support, Marie Curie Cancer Care and Carers Trust.
The gardens open in February are:
Little Ponton Hall - open on Saturday and Sunday 14th and 15th February.
Chapel St, Hacconby, near Bourne - open on Saturday and Sunday 21st and 22nd February.
