A TALENTED young singer-songwriter is on the verge of her dreams coming true - but she needs YOUR help to make it happen.

Lizzie Goddard, 16, is a pupil at Queen Elizabeth’s High School. She has been writing her own songs since she was 12-years-old.

You may have seen her wowing the crowds at events like the Riverside Festival, Christmas Lights Switch-on in the town centre and various other local gigs around the town.

Now, she’s through to the final leg of being in with a chance to support popstar Cody Simpson at his upcoming gig at the Manchester Opera House.

Lizzie entered the competition by covering Cody’s song Wish You Were Here and uploading the video to Youtube. Her rendition was then personally picked by Cody to go into the final.

“I just did it to try and get some more views and subscribers on my Youtube channel, but then it was picked by Cody out of hundreds which is wicked,” said Lizzie. “If I won, it would just be amazing and an absolute dream just to sing on a stage with that many people listening.”

Lizzie continued: “I love playing around here in pubs and at events in front of familiar faces, but it would be great to have my songs heard by new people. Please help if you can by clicking ‘like’ on the video and sharing it around.”

l To help Lizzie get to open at the Manchester Opera House, just search for ‘Lizzie Goddard - MANCHESTER’ at www.youtube.com and ‘like’ and share the video.
