We’ve all done it haven’t we, stood in front of the mirror pretending to be a prima ballerina?

Or is it just me?

Watching the Moscow City Ballet dancers perform Swan Lake last week, I was reminded of my own brief dalliance with a tutu.

As a young girl I went to ballet lessons, and I could still show you the five basic feet positions if pressed.

The poise and flexibility of the Russian ballerinas was truly amazing, and testament to the level of dedication they have.

They were all incredibly thin as well.

If only I’d stuck at it...
