Join volunteering greater Lincolnshire at the second annual Lincolnshire volunteer manager’s conference taking place at Epic Centre, Lincolnshire Showground on Thursday, May 26.
The event, which takes place in advance of an extended celebratory volunteer’s week from June 1 to 12, aims to promote good practice in volunteer management. Representatives Karl Wilding and Neil Cleeveley, from national umbrella bodies NCVO and NAVCA, will both be speaking at the event which also features free training workshops and networking opportunities.
Last year’s successful event was attended by over 100 organisations who enjoyed presentations from Rob Jackson and Kevin Curley CBE. Dianne Slapp, Chair of Volunteering Greater Lincolnshire said “We are hoping to build on the success of last year’s event, which attracted enormous interest. We hope to capture the same buzz, as we welcome a wide variety of groups and agencies working with volunteers. We have some amazing speakers lined up and interesting workshops and an exhibition space with a focus on innovation.
We are also extremely grateful to West Lindsey District Council who are hosting the event at The EPIC Centre and a number of local sponsors.”
The event is open to any colleague, friend or representative from the voluntary and community sector and is especially aimed at those working alongside volunteers. Booking is essential and closes on Friday, May 13. Tickets cost £25. You can book your place online at www.vexpolincolnshire.org.uk or call 01427 613470 (Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm.
