COMMUNITY: Sturton Women’s Institute

Sixteen members attended the monthly meeting with Joan Wines presiding. Jerusalem was sung followed by the Roll call which was a scientist.

Business was attended to when certificates were presented to Janet Cliff and Joyce Newth in recognition of their 50 years as WI members. 
The group also received a certificate recognising 50 years since its formation in 1966. Members were then entertained with an interesting talk entitled ‘Physics4U’.

Reverend Sue Bradley demonstrated various principles relating to balance, air pressure and several others with hands on experiments for members. 
Competition winners were Gina Edgcumbe and Linda White and the raffle was won by Ann Johnson.
