A MRS Leonard brought this picture into the office taken at the entrance to Ship Court in Silver Street in 1933.
She is the little girl at the back of the crowd who is being held in the man’s arms in front of Redfern’s shop. She is unsure what the occasion is. Does anyone know?
With regard to the picture of Marshalls apprentices in 16th June issue, Ron Stanham has got in touch with us and filled in some of the blanks (he doesn’t know the Christian names).
Second in on the back row is Mr Akrill, fifth is Mr Roberton; second in on the second row is Mr Ward and sixth in is Mr Gregory; seventh in on the bottom row is Mr Snowden.
