A great year ahead at Trinity Arts Centre
Blockbuster Skyfall is one of many films to be shown at Trinity Arts Centre in the New Year
BLOCKBUSTER movies, cracking comedy and marvellous music are all on offer at Trinity Arts Centre in the New Year.
The Gainsborough venue has just revealed its listings for January to March 2013, and movie-lovers are in for a treat, as the centre has just invested in a brand new, state-of-the-art digital projection system.
“Showing films in this format will be a massive improvement for Trinity and it’s really all down to you - our loyal customers,” said Trinity Arts Centre’s area development officer Karen Whitfield. “Your continued support has enabled us to secure this investment and this will really make sure that our film programme can go from strength to strength in the future.”
To celebrate, Trinity will be hosting a special screening of Skyfall on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th January. To mark the occasion, there will also be special offers on in the bar offering everything from Heineken to a dry Martini - shaken not stirred.
The movie madness continues with screenings of The Sapphires, Madagascar 3, Gambit, Life of Pi, Silver Linings Playbook, Frankenweenie, Twilight: Breaking Dawn, Midnight’s Children, Les Miserables and The Hobbit all booked for the coming months.
If theatre is your thing, then the award-winning Hull Truck Theatre Company presents the classic Jane Eyre on Tuesday 5th March.
For musical entertainment, Trinity will see performances from The Tannahill Weavers, Past Masters, The Way of the Drum and Misterton soul sensation Thomas Donaldson-Badger.
The monthly Hoot Comedy Club welcomes acts such as Seymour Grace, Lloyd Griffith, Anthony J Brown and many more.
