THIS week we go back to the 1970s and feature a photo of Matthew Hall FC who played in the Gainsborough Saturday Football League.

And now a plea for information. Does anyone have a photo dating as far back as the 1920s/1930s of a house on Beaumont Street about where the Salvation Army Citadel is now situated? It was demolished and land adjacent to it had Brough’s Garage (later B and B Cycles and Paul Lees Garage) built on it. A family called Tether lived in the house.
