LAST BAZAAR AT BRIDGE ROAD?

BRIDGE Road Methodist Church workers held what will possibly be their last bazaar in the church schoolroom on Wednesday in aid of church expenses and for the building fund of the proposed new Methodist Church in Shakespeare Street.

It was announced a few weeks ago that the two Methodist Churches in the south end of Gainsborough - Shakespeare Street and Bridge Road - were combining. A decision has been reached to offer for sale the Bridge Road premises, situated on a busy main road, and to build a new church, to be called St Andrew’s Methodist, in Shakespeare Street.

The present church may be used for a schoolroom.
