BRIGHT young pupils with an even brighter future were rewarded for their talents and hard work at a special awards evening at Gainsborough’s Queen Elizabeth’s High School.

The school’s Annual Senior Presentation Evening gave prizes for students in years 11 to 13 for all subjects and also ‘all-round achievement’.

Returning pupils from university even attended the ceremony to pick up their prizes and revisit Queen Elizabeth’s.

Headteacher David Allsop said that he was extremely proud of everything the students have achieved.

“It is always a real pleasure to be able to recognise the achievements of our students,” he said. “It is particularly pleasing to be able to chat with our returning students who have spent their first term at university.”

Mr Allsop added: “All of the hard work is worth it to hear how excited they are about their courses and how much they are enjoying the experience.”

“Congratulations to all of the prize winners this year.”
