TWO daytime burglaries have taken place in Uphills Gainsborough.

Police say that both occurred between 8.30am-6.30pm while residents have been out at work and both have involved thieves forcing the lock on a rear door.

On Thursday 19th January, a flat-screen TV and a Nintendo Wii were stolen from a property on Turpin Close and on Friday 20th January another flat screen TV, laptop, iPod, iPad and camera were stolen from a house on Heron Drive.

A Police spokesman said: “If you saw anything suspicious around either of these properties or have been offered similar items for sale, please contact our force control room on 101.”

“Please ensure that your house is left secure, with all doors and windows locked. Where possible set an alarm and keep valuable items out of sight through windows and doors.
