CELEBRATIONS were enjoyed in Gainsborough’s Market Place as a new campaign was launched to boost trade and visitors to the town.
The Gainsborough Town Partnership put on a range of events around the town centre to launch the ‘Think Gainsborough First’ campaign to encourage more visitors to visit Gainsborough and promote local businesses in the area.
Visitors enjoyed live music from local talent, a bouncy castle, face-painting and much more.
Gainsborough Town Centre Manager David Hawkins said: “The performances were fantastic and drew a really good crowd.”
“We got such good support from everyone who came along and this really shows that people are interested in local businesses.”
He continued: “This really reiterates the importance of using local businesses rather than going further afield and gave people something to hold on to.”
“It just goes to show that it can be done. If we can get enough time, funding and resources then we can keep working to raise the profile of Gainsborough’s great businesses.”
David added: “Thanks very much to the people who were helpful in making this happen.”
