AS SPRING approaches, schools in Gainsborough have been welcoming new life into the world with the arrival of newborn baby chicks.

Pupils at Whites Wood Lane Junior School and North County Primary School have all been learning about new life and responsibility by looking after and caring for newborn baby chickens.
