A DELIGHTED Gainsborough family are celebrating after receiving the greatest gift of all - a healthy baby girl born on Christmas Day.
Kylie Waeling, 24, and Percy Smith, 24, from Richardson Rise, welcomed little Ruby Smith-Grange to the world when she was born in Lincoln County Hospital at 12.25pm on Tuesday 25th December.
She wasn’t due until Boxing Day, and weighed 7 lbs 8 oz.
Bigger brother Kaiden-John had to open his presents on Christmas Eve, but was even more excited the next day when his little sister was born.
“It was a really nice surprise,” said Kylie. “My brother and his partner had their baby the same day as well - so it was all a Christmas miracle!”
“There are plenty of sleepless nights to come but we’re absolutely over the moon!”
Kylie added: “We’d like to thank everyone who’s been there for us - especially our midwife Bernie who was brilliant.”
Percy added: “It has definitely been a Christmas to remember.”
“Ruby is settling in at home really well - it’s like she’s been there for ages.”
