Peter Bradley and Maria Batty with her charity cheque

A GLOBE-TROTTING Worksop woman has smashed her fundraising target after taking on the challenge of walking over 150 miles across Portugal and Spain to raise money for our adopted charity.

Holisitic therapist Maria Batty with Friends Delia and Andrew have finally completed the 150 Miles walk from Porto in Portugal to Santiago de Compostela in Spain to raise funds for the new Aurora Wellbeing Centre at the Old Library in Memorial Avenue Worksop.

They set themselves a target to raise £1000 which is no mean feat in these difficult times - but they raised an amazing £1650.35.

Peter Bradley received the cheque at the first meeting with Maria when she visited their Sunday morning indoor car boot at the centre.
