Let there be light

Waiting for Video...

CELEBRATIONS and festive fun was spread across Gainsborough as the town came together to switch on the town’s Christmas lights.

Spectacular events were enjoyed both in Marshall’s Yard and around the Christmas tree in the town centre’s Market Place.

Live music, dancers, fairground rides and even giant robots - Gainsborough saw it all.

In the Market Place, families enjoyed funfair rides along with performances from local singer-songwriter Lizzie Goddard and rock band StereoEpic when the lights were switched on by Gainsborough Citizen of the Year Fred Richardson.

Meanwhile, over in Marshall’s Yard, visitors enjoyed Moroccan market stalls, children’s rides and a fun bus as well as live music from local band the Kicks, dOM mAJOR, a special appearance from Titan the Robot, a visit from Santa and much more.
