FESTIVE fun is coming town as Gainsborough looks set to see a night of great entertainment for the annual Christmas lights switch on.

Once again, great events will be taking place both in the Market Place and at Marshall’s Yard.

Local talent, live music and giant robots - this will certainly be a night to remember.

On Friday 16th November in the Market Place, a special funfair will begin at 4pm before another brilliant performance by Gainsborough singer-songwriter Lizzie Goddard.

At 6pm, the lights will be switched on Gainsborough Citizen of the Year Fred Richardson before the town centre is rocked by local favourites Stereoepic.

Meanwhile, over at Marshall’s Yard, visitors are invited to make the most of the Christmas and Moroccan market stalls open from 12pm.

Then from 4pm, kids can enjoy children’s rides, a fun bus and simulator.

Then, at 4pm there will also be live music from local band the Kicks before a Moroccan themed dance performance at 4.20pm and a special appearance from Titan the Robot at 4.40pm.

At 5pm, Lincs FM will begin hosting a special show from Marshall’s Yard but Little Mouse makes an appearance.

At 5.40pm, the local Tracey Everett Fox School of Dance will deliver another striking performance before Dom Major takes to the stage at 6pm.

It wouldn’t be Christmas without Santa Claus, who arrives at 6.20pm, then the official countdown and switch on takes place at 7pm but the entertainment goes on until 8pm.
