Get involved in Marshall rally

HISTORY-LOVERS are in for a treat as Gainsborough gets set for The Marshall Rally - and you can get involved.

The Marshall Rally will mark the 60th Anniversary of the Field Marshall Series 3A - the last of the iconic Field Marshalls.

Organisers the Gainsborough and District Heritage Association are now calling for anybody interested in exhibiting at the event to get in touch.

Although the event is primarily a tractor rally, exhibits shall also cover traction engines, road rollers, commercial vehicles, stationary engines, modellers, trade and craft stall holders, organs, and classic vehicles.

Although the event is a Marshall Rally, they are still interested to here from exhibitors of other makes and models who may wish to show also.

There will also be threshing displays and a ploughing display field, that participants are more than welcome to ‘play with your machine’ in.

The organising committee would also like to express an invitation to all who may wish to visit this one off event.

Other attractions include exhibitions by other local heritage groups, ring displays, and a shuttle service of vintage buses to and from Gainsborough Town Centre.

The event is being held at Williamsons Farm on the A159 – Thonock Road, a mile north of Gainsborough, and will take place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th August.
