Decade of coffee morning fun
The Beckingham and Saundby coffee morning group celebrated their 10th anniversary at The Recreation Room, Beckingham on Monday
CELEBRATIONS were enjoyed by all as the Beckingham and Saundby Coffee morning marked their 10th anniversary.
The coffee morning, arranged by the Village Hall committee, has been taking place in the Recreation Room in Beckingham for a decade now - providing people with ‘a place to sit in comfort and talk’.
A committee spokesman said that ‘the event remains as popular as ever’.
“On offer is a drink and company, and many of the regulars provide a raffle prize on a rota basis each week. On special occasions bacon butties are served.”
They added: “To date, almost £9,000 has been raised towards the maintenance of the Village Hall, Play Park, MUGA, tennis court and playing field – all of which are managed by the Beckingham and Saundby Village Hall Committee on behalf of the village.”
