Scotter Lives annual fun day and classic car show G120908-3b

GOOD old-fashioned fun was had by all as the Scotter LIVES First Responders group held their annual Classic Car Show and raised nearly £2,000.

Scotter Village Hall and playing fields played host to classic cars and bikes as well as a barbecue, cake stall, games, raffle and much more.

Scotter LIVES co-ordinator Louise Edge said that the day was a huge success.

“We are delighted to say that we raised over £1,900,” she said.

“We always get a great turn-out and this year was no exception. We’ve been doing this for about seven or eight years now and we’re in all of the classic car owners diaries and it went down really well and everyone had a great time.”

She added: “I’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who turned up and supported the group.”

“All of the money raised goes towards training, running costs and equipment so this will make a huge difference.”

LIVES Responders are trained to deliver early basic life support and early defibrillation.

In addition, they provide patient assessment, oxygen therapy and general patient care.
