CELEBRATIONS are being enjoyed by one Gainsborough family after welcoming their ‘miracle’ baby Milo into the world on Christmas Day.

But Milo Overton was only just a Christmas baby - being born at 11.59pm on 25th December.

Weighing in at 6 lbs and 10 oz, Milo proved to be the perfect Christmas gift, as he wasn’t expected until 9th January.

“It was quite a shock because he wasn’t due for another couple of weeks,” said proud mother Sarah Overton.

“The worst thing about it was that we couldn’t spend Christmas Day with out son Austin. He spent it with his grandparents as we went into hospital on Christmas Eve - but it was a really nice special gift as Austin really wanted a baby brother. He was so excited.”

Now that he’s home, Milo has been settling in very well - apart from keeping his mum and dad awake.

“Milo seems to have got his days and nights mixed up at the moment and prefers to sleep in the day and stay up all night - but hopefully that won’t last!”

Sarah continued: “Austin’s been a wonderful big brother and is really kind and gentle with him.”

“He keeps asking ‘where’s MY baby?’ and wants Milo to join in and play with his tractors sooner rather than later.”

She went on: “I’d just like to say a huge thank you to all of the staff at Lincoln County Hospital who were absolutely brilliant.”

“You may forget that it was Christmas for them too, but everyone was in really high spirits and excellent with us at every stage.”
